Mr. Stanford has twenty five years of experience designing and delivering customized leadership-development for individuals and teams. His research and teaching focus on transformational leadership, culture-building, and organizational alignment.
Mr. Stanford's work encompasses leadership in transition, leadership psychodynamics, culture-building and change, as well as post-conventional leadership development. He has worked throughout Europe, Asia, and the Americas. He holds dual Canadian-Swiss citizenship.
Mr. Stanford has helped many organizations create and implement enterprise-wide learning strategies. He has deep experience with creative program design, business-focused action learning, and impact measurement for post-conventional leadership development.
Previously, Mr. Stanford was the global executive director for client engagement at IMD, an executive-education institute based in Switzerland. He led the institute's company specific program practice for fifteen years and served on the institute's management team. He also launched a major change initiative in the institute designed to improve its client-engagement capability.
Mr. Stanford holds an masters of business administration, an honors degree in business administration, and a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Western Ontario. He is currently completing his doctoral research in organizational change at Ashridge Business School. He serves on the board of the International Consortium for Executive Development Research and is emeritus board member for the Global Consortium for University-based Executive Education.
