In his time with Korn Ferry, Mr. Birkhead has stood up multiple recruiting platforms to support professional, hourly and niche STEM hiring across as many as 120 North American locations. He's driven the granular use of metrics and reporting to improve productivity, candidate and new hire quality, as well as business/HR/TA partnership to maximize the ROI of client's RPO spend.
Mr. Birkhead has improved mission-critical TA metrics including time to fill; 90-day attrition in hourly jobs; and offer-to-accept rates. He has also worked to drive short- and long-term workforce planning for critical locations or jobs. Mr. Birkhead has developed training and accountability systems to drive ‘ownership mentality' in recruiting teams, which directly impacted manager satisfaction across a broad range of formally measured areas, including recruiter job knowledge, candidate quality, timeliness and communication.
In addition, earlier in his career, he sold and implemented training, coaching, performance management and compensation systems. Mr. Birkhead's key areas of focus include: productization of Talent Acquisition for enhanced business adoption and utilization; strategic and tactical sourcing to improve pipelines and lower costs; metrics and reporting that drive improvements across all TA areas; HR integration and collaboration initiatives to improve HR-TA partnership; and team productivity and skill improvement that drives reputation and satisfaction.
He holds a BS in International Affairs from the US Air Force Academy.
