A strategic partnership to support the group’s growth and accompany the transformation of the French automobile manufacturer
London, 7 July 2016 – The Korn Ferry division of Korn Ferry (NYSE:KFY), the preeminent global people and organisational advisory firm, has announced the renewal of its contract with Renault to help manage its recruitment of professional hires in France.
Renault, international automobile manufacturer with French roots, sold in 2015 more than 2.8 million vehicles in 125 countries. Today, it boasts more than 120,000 employees and 36 manufacturing sites.
In response to the success of its latest models in France and Europe, and to prepare for future growth, Renault France chose Korn Ferry to help it hire more than 300 professional hires out of the 1000 open roles in the Group by the end of 2016. Roles covered by Korn Ferry include purchasing, engineering, design and manufacturing – all of which require specific skills and expertise. These functions rely heavily on new technologies, which are key in the development of the connected vehicle, the autonomous vehicle, as well as in the pursuit of the zero emissions strategy, for which the Renault Group is a pioneer.
To meet the ambitions of the Renault Group, Korn Ferry has developed a personalised approach that leverages Renault’s tools and resources. On top of this, Korn Ferry deployed a team of specialised consultants to focus on the project.
The team was trained on Renault’s assessment tools, which are an integral part of the recruitment process. A focused sourcing strategy was developed to identify and find niche skills and new competencies required to design the cars of tomorrow. This captures the best profiles in accordance with the diversity criteria defined by the group. Recruitment days targeting certain types of positions will be organised to optimise the time Renault managers are involved in the recruitment process, ultimately reducing time to hire.
“The ability of Korn Ferry’s teams to deploy a tailor-made strategy in 2015 has naturally led us to renew the partnership this year. Given our need for quality and responsiveness due to the success of our latest products, it was essential for us to rely on a partner who knows the market, the tools and the most appropriate recruitment technologies aligned to our stakes. Korn Ferry’s flexibility to our mode of operations and its ability to integrate our company's values and pass them on to candidates were key to the success and extension of our partnership,” commented Valérie Bourassin, Head of Recruitment, Training, and Competencies within Renault’s Human Resources Department for France.
“Renault has ambitious recruitment objectives for 2016, and as a trusted partner, we will work together to meet these goals” adds Corinne Roa, Key Accounts Director for Korn Ferry EMEA.“We are extremely proud to be associated with such an emblematic brand on the French market and to be able to contribute to its success.”
Renault is looking for women and men who are dedicated, passionate and ready to meet tomorrow’s technological challenges in a team environment made up of dynamic, international and intercultural personnel.
