Dennis Carey is a Vice Chairman and Co-Leader of the Board Services Practice of Korn Ferry. With over 25 years of experience, Dennis advises and recruits for Board of Directors, CEOs, and their direct reports. Dennis has recruited for Board of Directors and CEOs of over 75 Fortune 500 companies.

In addition to advising and recruiting, Dennis founded several forums for Chairman, CEO’s and C-Suite Executives including The Prium, G100, the CEO Academy® and Academies for CFOs and CHROs of Americas best managed enterprises.

Dennis has published four books and over 50 articles. The most recent of his books, “Boards that Lead”, (HBR Publishers 2014) was cited as book of the year by Directors & Boards Magazine. His articles have been featured in noteworthy journals including Harvard Business Review and McKinsey Quarterly. Dennis is frequently quoted in all major business publications ranging from The Economist to The Wall Street Journal. Dennis teaches Corporate Governance with Ram Charan and Mike Useem at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Dennis has served on both public boards and private start up technology boards, including Scanlife, Airclic, Composite Technology, and Closure Medical which was sold to J&J.

He holds a PHD in finance from the University of Maryland and was a fellow both at Harvard's JFK School and the Princeton Theological Seminary.

Dennis swam the English Channel in 1980, and is on the Board of the Swimming Hall of Fame.

Dennis has two grown children who are both excelling in their own endeavors.
