Eric is a Senior Client Partner with Korn Ferry’s advisory practice based in the firm’s Hamburg office.

Mr. Wenzel is an experienced coach to top executives, facilitator of leadership courses, and thoroughly familiar with the requirements of working with top managers and their teams, in particular when they must navigate challenging situations such as complex change or disruptive dynamics from within the team.

Furthermore, he works as assessor for senior and top executives in globally operating organisations to support succession planning activities or to determine individual areas for development of these highly-ranked leaders.

Additionally, Eric aids organisations in the improvement of their talent management systems for top executive pools, e.g.  through the development of competency models.

Recent assignments have included clients from industries such as telecommunications, pharma, automotive supply, insurance, travel and transport, aviation, private equity, media, high-tech, and steel production.

Eric has had 25 years of experience in developing leaders in EMEA, Asia and North America. He headed Korn Ferry’s Assessment & Succession practice for several years and previously, he was the German Head of Management Diagnostics at Hay Group. Prior to that he worked at Lee Hecht Harrison where he headed the German leadership consulting practice and was member of the German management team. Before that he worked for a German boutique consulting firm in executive search.

Eric appears as speaker at conferences and regularly releases publications, most recently in form of book chapters on executive assessments and on exploring breakdowns in consultancy practice.

Eric holds a BSc (Hons), first-class, in psychology from the Open University/UK and a Doctor of Management (DMan) in organizational change which he obtained from the Complexity and Management Centre at the University of Hertfordshire/UK. Additionally, Eric has completed a multi-year advanced training programme as a psychodynamic group psychotherapist.

He is fluent in German and in English.
