Jon Barney is a Senior Client Partner in Korn Ferry’s Industrial Market, based out the Washington D.C. office.

For a Fortune 500 aerospace & defense company, Mr. Barney developed and implemented a company-wide go to market global strategy that aligned business objectives with job functions including sales, marketing, legal, HR, business development, and GM

Mr. Barney completed business, market, and leadership team diligence prior to acquisition and developed PMI strategy for or one of world’s largest private equity firms. 

He completed multiple CEO searches across aerospace, defense, and industrial sectors for public and private equity owned businesses.

He conducted executive assessments of Top 50 company leaders, benchmarked relative to competitors and implemented talent strategy for a Fortune 500 company.

Mr. Barney has twenty years of experience working across global aerospace, defense, industrial, technology and government markets in senior management consulting, executive search and government roles working with Fortune 500 and leading financial firms.

Previoulsy he was a former Managing Director at Avascent, a Washington, DC strategy consulting firm focused on government driven markets. Former Associate at Booz Allen. Former Executive Director at Russell Reynolds, leading search and assessment across aerospace, defense, and industrial markets.

His experience includes: corporate strategy, executive assessment, organizational assessment, competitive analysis benchmarking, M&A, talent development. 

Mr. Barney has aMBA Harvard; B.S. with Honors in Political Science, United States Naval Academy.

He is a member of the Economic Club of Washington, DC; Harvard and Harvard Business School Clubs of Washington, DC; Great Falls Rotary Club; Former Advisor to Fairholme Capital Management.
