Laurie A. O'Shea is the Global Sector Leader of Korn Ferry’s Insurance Practice and a member of the Board & CEO Services Practice based in the Chicago office.

Prior to Korn Ferry, Ms. O’Shea worked at a global search firm, where she was Global Head of the Insurance Practice, as well as a member of the CEO & Board and Inclusion Practices.

Ms. O’Shea has worked with Boards, CEOs and senior executives over 30 years, recruiting and consulting on variety issues. Ms. O’Shea’s work with Board engagements, CEO succession and executive assignments develops and identities leaders positioned for the new age requirements of change, growth, and reconstruction.

Ms. O’Shea has been a guest speaker at events on Board and CEO selection throughout her career. Most recently she has been a contributor and speaker at the IICF Global Women in Insurance Conference as well as several events focusing on board governance, CEO succession, and the impact of diversity of thought in the boardroom and C-Suite. Ms. O’Shea is currently a contributing partner in the Rockefeller Foundation’s sponsorship of Korn Ferry and Rockefeller’s 100x25 initiative, researching and supporting the growth of Female CEOs in the Fortune 500.

Ms. O’Shea is a former member of both the Chicago Finance Exchange and Illinois Venture Capital Association. She also serves on the board of One Million Degrees, a Chicago based not-for-profit focusing on education for low-income students and is a member of The Chicago Network.

Ms. O’Shea received her undergraduate degree from Beloit College and her master's degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
