Mark Polansky is a Senior Partner in Korn Ferry’s Technology Officers Executive Search Practice which he co-founded and headed up for more than twelve years. He is based in the firm’s New York office where he joined Korn Ferry in 1997.

Mr. Polansky extensively recruits chief information officers, chief technology officers, chief digital and chief data officers, chief information security officers and other senior IT leadership talent across vertical sectors including Industrial, Consumer, Life Sciences, Technology and Higher Education. His consultative approach to search encompasses talent strategy, organization design, search process and diversity recruiting. Mark ’s clients range from the Fortune 100 (Intel, McKesson, Hewlett-Packard, Boeing) to smaller high-growth companies (Under Armour, Regeneron, DirecTV) as well as non-profit organizations (American Cancer Society, NPower) and prestigious public and private research universities (Arizona State, Harvard, Yale). 

Before entering the search field, Mr. Polansky developed and marketed information systems in the Financial Services and Higher Education sectors. He currently serves on the Advisory Committee for Columbia University's executive graduate program in Information Technology Management.

Mr. Polansky frequently addresses conferences and writes on information technology and career management topics. He originated the “Executive Career Counsel” column in CIO Magazine and on He is a member of the Society for Information Management (SIM) and served as President of the New York Chapter. Mark has served on the Advisory Boards of The Information Technology Senior Management Forum or ITSMF - the national organization dedicated to fostering executive talent among African-American IT professionals, and HITEC - the Hispanic Information Technology Executive Council. 

Mr. Polansky holds a master’s degree in Computer Science from Pratt Institute and a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Electrical Engineering from Union College.
