Melinda Tamkins is a Senior Principal Consultant for Korn Ferry based in the Firm's New York office.

With over twenty years of internal and external consulting experience, Ms. Tamkins has partnered with senior leaders in a variety of industries to establish and enhance talent development strategy.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Ms. Tamkins was principal of a large consulting group, where she consulted with global talent management, pharmaceutical, and non-profit organizations. Her background includes corporate roles leading learning and organizational development initiatives in the financial services and insurance industries.

Ms. Tamkin's focus is as a talent development leader with key competencies in executive assessment and leadership development. She helps organizations improve their talent decisions and individual leaders accelerate their own development.

She additionally supports organizations in creating dynamic, flexible leadership solutions that are tied to business results. Her coaching approach is approach is positive, action-oriented, and formed with a spirit of partnership for lasting change.

Ms. Tamkins holds a doctorate in organizational psychology from Columbia University.

She has been published in the Journal of Applied Psychology and in the Handbook of Psychology: Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Her professional affiliations include the American Psychological Association, Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and the Metropolitan Association of Applied Psychology.
