Mr. O’Callaghan is the Global Sector Leader, Mining and Metals for the firm and along with his global sector responsibilities, he is also a key member of the CEO Succession Practice for Canada.  

During his more than 20+ years as an executive search and talent consultant, Mr. O’Callaghan has gained significant global experience in the natural resource sectors with a functional emphasis on Board, C-suite, CEO Succession and executive level assignments. He is member of the firm’s CEO & Board Search Practice and has been involved in numerous CEO Succession and assessment projects. His sector experience includes working closely with global major and mid-tier mining and metals companies and successfully executing assignments in North and South America, EMEA and Australasia.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry in 2002, Mr. O’Callaghan worked for a large Canadian executive recruitment firm in Vancouver. He began his career working in the travel and leisure sector, initially focusing on operations and, later, on human resources, recruiting, training, and development.

Mr. O'Callaghan is an active member in the community, having served as both Director and Chair of the Lions Gate  Hospital Foundation for over 10 years.  He was made an Honorary Director of the Foundation in 2022. He earned a bachelor’s degree in social sciences from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario.
