Monica heads Korn Ferry’s Financial Services in Asia Pacific Region, in addition to leading the Board Practice in India. She has been with Korn Ferry since 2012 and has partnered with leading Indian and International Financial Services groups to help them have the best leaders in place.

Monica has enhanced the intrinsic value of numerous organizations by building diverse boards, high performing CEOs and management teams through critical leadership development processes, from board and CEO selection to evaluation, transition, succession and on-going progression planning. In 2018, Monica co-authored, “Boards that Lead”, a pioneering study on board practices in India, in partnership with the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Monica had 20 years of experience across leading organizations including HSBC, MasterCard, Aviva Life Insurance, Unilever and Bennett & Coleman. In her last role, she held the post of Director - Strategic Initiatives & Business Development, at Aviva Life Insurance India for nearly 5 years. In 2010, she was awarded the Woman Business Leader of the year, Insurance by Women Leaders in India Forum.

Prior to Aviva, she worked with MasterCard as Head of Strategic Alliances & Business Development, South Asia, for over 7 years. During 2005-2007, she was also the General Secretary of the India Cards Council, the de-facto payment cards Industry Forum which had representation from over 25 leading Banks in India to charter the growth of payment cards in the country including Public Policy. Prior to MasterCard, Monica led HSBC’s foray into Personal Banking & Cards in Northern India for 5 years.

During the early years of her professional journey, she has worked closely with the promoters of Bennett & Coleman Limited (The Times of India Group), in launching new initiatives across print & electronic media. Monica started her professional journey in 1993 as a Management Trainee with the Unilever Group.

She is a Masters of Finance & Control (Class of 1993) and an Economics Honors graduate (Class of 1991), both from the prestigious University of Delhi, India.
