Senior Principal

Myriam Michaels is a Senior Principal based in Korn Ferry’s Washington, D.C. office.

Ms. Michaels has considerable experience assisting clients in the area of job evaluation, job classification, work measurement and compensation design.

She has also helped many clients successfully complete organizational improvement initiatives related to performance management, compensation, and classification. The work performed for clients has involved consulting with stakeholders across the organization to determine pay philosophy, culture, and goals and strategy; performing cultural assessments; conducting surveys of competitors to identify market trends and practices; and designing solutions for performance management and pay systems.

Ms. Michaels conducts studies for many not-for-profit organizations including American Physiological Society, Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), Beer Institute, American Society of Human Genetics, American Society for Microbiology, Project Management Institute, Airline Pilots Association, and the National Cancer Institute.

Myriam's has extensive expertise in working with scientific and research-based organizations. Her work includes partnering with the Board on creating a more effective Board structure; guiding the CEO and C-suite in managing a diverse team and board, strategic planning process and creating HR talent programs. A key focus is understanding the dynamics and evolving needs within a scientific organization with membership societies and confidence dealing with complex topics and interfacing with a diverse set of stakeholders. Myriam has also helped these organizations transition their business model as their revenue streams have changed due to regulatory requirements and increased competition.

Ms. Michaels received her Bachelor of arts degree in Spanish and attended the University of Maryland.  Ms. Michaels is fluent in Spanish. She is a member of WorldatWork. (Formerly American Compensation Association) and the Society for Human Resource Management.
