Simon Bird is a Senior Client Partner, for Korn Ferry Hay Group, based in the firm’s London office.

Mr. Bird led the design and delivery of a broad program of leadership development and assessment in healthcare with a range of national, regional, and local clients. These have ranged from organization wide, ‘top to bottom’ development solutions, to targeted solutions for specific staff groups. The impact of the work on personal effectiveness and improvements to patient care has been demonstrated through quantitative and qualitative impact analysis following these projects.

Mr. Bird has led development work with the top 100 senior leaders at a UK household name/institution, equipping them with insights and skills as the organization underwent its own transformation.

Mr. Bird has over fifteen years of experience in organizational development, transformation, and leadership development, primarily in healthcare. He leads our health and local government advisory team, bringing insights and real life experience, having worked in the healthcare field for ten years.

Mr. Bird has worked in acute providers, before a number of years in a leading health policy ‘think-tank’ and subsequently returning to the broader healthcare arena to lead national development program of work.

His areas of specific expertise include leadership and talent, coaching, facilitation, organizational culture, and employee engagement. He is an accredited executive coach through The School of Coaching & The University of Strathclyde.

Mr. Bird has a master’s of science in organizational behavior from the University of London (Birkbeck) and a first degree in English, social policy, and psychology from the University of Birmingham. He has a postgraduate diploma in healthcare management from Sheffield Hallam University.
