Smruti Rajagopalan is a Principal for Korn Ferry Hay Group, based in the firm’s Chicago office.

Ms. Rajagopalan has served clients across a wide range of industries in Asia and the US. She has been involved in several business transformation projects focusing on areas such as organization diagnostics, strategy articulation, organization design, leadership development, performance enhancement, organization capability building, and assessment and talent management initiatives.

Previously, Ms. Rajagopalan spent several years with Hay Group in India where she worked extensively with clients across sectors on organization transformation and effectiveness engagements. As an accredited assessor, she supports local delivery of global assessment projects.

Ms. Rajagopalan has worked extensively with leading businesses to design and deliver initiatives that enhance execution excellence. Her areas of expertise include strategy execution, job evaluation and measurement, workforce planning and sizing, executive search, employee engagement and culture, reward, leadership and talent, succession planning, mergers and acquisitions, coaching, facilitation, competency modeling, and talent strategy.

Ms. Rajagopalan is accredited in Hay Group’s methodology of Competency Coding and Behavioral Event Interviewing and accredited in Hay Group’s propriety tools. She is trained in other Hay Group methodologies, job analysis, job evaluation, job family modeling, fundamentals of assessment and talent review. 

Ms. Rajagopalan holds a post graduate degree in human resource management from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), India. She also holds a bachelors degree in business management from Delhi University, India.

Previously, Ms. Rajagopalan worked as a HR Manager for a leading Indian manufacturing firm where she helped build the HR organization at a green-field manufacturing location.
