Stephen Matson is a Senior Client Partner Global Account Leader Technology based in Korn Ferry's Reston office.

Steve is a global account lead in Korn Ferry’s marquee account program. He has extensive experience in global Fortune account development and management, having joined Korn Ferry in November 2017 after completing over thirty years as a partner and senior vice president with Hewitt Associates and Aon respectively.

Steve’s responsibilities have included large market business development across the U.S., EMEA, Asia, and Latin America, with a strong focus on corporate human resource and risk management advisory. Steve has managed a robust portfolio of client relationships around the world, where he seeks to understand clients’ business objectives and challenges and align appropriate professional services, ensuring that they are  delivered in a way that is informed, adding value, and ultimately directed towards business outcomes. 

Steve spent the first ten years of his career in defined contribution retirement consulting in Chicago. He spent the next fifteen years in various account management and business development roles, based out of Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Washington D.C. Upon his return to the U.S. from Asia, Steve pursued development in the global Fortune space for large clients and travelled broadly across the U.S., Europe, Latin America and Asia to serve those clients.

Over the years Steve’s client list has covered a broad range of organizations and industries.

Steve has a BA in Mathematics and Computer Science, North Park University, and a MA in Theological Studies, North Park Theological Seminary.
