Stuart Brain



Stuart Brain is a Principal and member of Korn Ferry’s Private Equity practice, responsible for the financial services sector across EMEA.

Mr. Brain has worked across the entire deal cycle, from the identification of deal origination opportunities, supporting funds with the development of deal angles and providing due diligence support, conducting executive searches for portfolio companies, through to IPO advisory work and IPO board building. 

Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Mr. Brain worked for a private equity focused boutique executive search and advisory firm. He was one of seven practice leaders, responsible for all work in the financial services sector across the firm’s offices in London, Munich, New York and Paris.

Previously, Mr. Brain spent 13 years working for two global professional services firms. He set up the UK Management Consulting practice at one of the firms, and more recently, set up the UK Bank Restructuring and Consulting practice at the second firm. He was the Monitoring Trustee to the Troika for Alpha Bank’s state-aid commitments in Greece, and Monitoring Trustee to the EC for Lloyds Banking Group’s state-aid commitments in the UK, including overseeing Project Verde. 

Mr. Brain is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and has a degree in Economics from Leeds University Business School.
