Tom Starr works with global clients to accelerate strategic change and develop top leadership talent. 

Mr. Starr has over 25 years of consulting experience in executive and leadership development, high-potential talent development, team effectiveness, and organizational learning.

As a consultant, Mr. Starr is a skilled diagnostician. He engages with clients as a “practical strategist” who is adept at helping leaders and their teams translate vision into action. He is a seasoned designer and facilitator of executive leadership programs and is a coach and facilitator to senior teams, action learning teams, and peer group learning teams.  Mr. Starr has been named one of “Who’s Who in the Training Industry” by TrainingIndustry.com.

Mr. Starr has deep experience across industries and business functions. His special interest is to help clients build distinctive and differentiated leadership capabilities that are uniquely geared to achieving marketplace success. He is the leader of Korn Ferry’s Leadership Development Strategy practice and in this capacity has worked with brand name companies to stand up leadership academies, institutes, and multi-level curricula.

Recent projects have included designing and delivering partner development programs for consulting and professional service firms, building general management capabilities in med tech and life sciences, and helping global firms across industries groom high-potentials and next-generation leadership talent.

Previously, Mr. Starr was a partner in the leadership development practices of Oliver Wyman and Mercer. His experience also includes leadership and senior consulting roles at Booz Allen Hamilton and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Starr earned a master’s degree in business administration from the Fuqua School of Business of Duke University and a bachelor’s degree in English from Cornell University.
