With over twenty years of consulting experience, Ms. Kawashima’s  focus is on helping Japanese companies globalize their business through identification and development of key global talents.  She has had the impact on top management’s decision making to change their talent management structure to be more globalized.  Ms. Kawashima has managed lots of client needs and designed and conducted several engagements related to leadership development, business performance, top team effectiveness and talent management strategies.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Ms. Kawashima worked for a global leadership consulting firm, where she was a consultant specializing in assessment, feedback, coaching, and training. She also designed and consulted on talent management programs for both foreign and Japanese companies.

Before embarking on her career in leadership and talent consulting, Ms. Kawashima worked for Mercer and KPMG, both in Japan and in the United States, as a compensation and benefits consultant. She conducted organization analyses, planned and facilitated mergers and acquisition, designed HR strategies, as well as developed and implemented a wide range of HR programs.

Ms. Kawashima earned a masters’ degree in organizational psychology from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Tsuda College.
