One word, I'd say mindset. And by that I mean, when you've thought about going to work, having a boss, who has a boss, who tells you what to do and structures your job, it's much harder to not go to the office and maybe I work on a team, maybe I just need to connect sideways and I need to be linked into this – it's a new way of working, it's a new mindset.
Agility is mindset and behavior. As humans just learning to operate a new way we don't know what works yet.
It’s a whole new language, a whole new dictionary, of how we work together.
It's not coming from the top down. It is a very difficult thing to get your head around so I think organizations need a lot of help, they need to do leadership differently, they need to think of leaders as enabling servant leaders, they need to encourage experimentation and innovation, but they also need to know how not to throw the baby out with the bathwater, because sometimes this new agile structure isn't right.
So there's a lot of learning to go on.
