Developing new leaders is critical for organizations in Australia and the Asia Pacific region to prosper and grow in the years ahead.
The Australian economy has been in a slow growth mode for several years. As a result, organizations have been under pressure from shareholders to increase market share, grow profits, and innovate.
In many Australian organizations, leadership development has focused largely on senior leaders, but for organizations to achieve their full potential, development needs to be extended to high potentials, first-level, and mid-level leaders.
To explore these issues, Korn Ferry conducted a comprehensive, global survey on leadership development generating more than 7,500 responses from 107 countries. Over 1,500 of these responses came from the Asia Pacific region, and 674 from Australia specifically.
The findings reveal a sense of urgency among business and HR leaders to re-engineer leadership development in pursuit of superior transformation, growth and performance.
