Korn Ferry Establishes ‘P3’ Specialty Focused Exclusively on Public-Private Partnerships

-Talent and Assessment Professionals from a Wide Range of Disciplines to Serve Firm’s P3-Focused Clients-

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 21, 2014 —Korn Ferry (NYSE: KFY), a single source for leadership and talent consulting services, today announced the formation of P3, a new specialty dedicated to providing talent management offerings and expertise to public-private partnership clients.

In the shadow of the Great Recession, state and local municipalities and private equity firms have increasingly aligned their interests, using public-private partnerships (P3) financing and operating ventures to upgrade, replace or build essential infrastructure assets for a specific time period and with an expectation for attractive financial return. Because these projects create new sources of financing at a time of chronic infrastructure underinvestment, their use is expected to grow in most major industrialized countries.

Korn Ferry’s new Public Private Partnership (P3) specialty offers the industry’s first interdisciplinary approach to the human capital requirements for these new ventures. By combining the global reach and depth of the firm’s Private Equity, Real Estate, Transport/Logistics, Energy and Construction practices, the P3 team offers investors and municipalities an integrated talent strategy covering organizational design, assessment, recruiting, onboarding and leadership training.

“There is a strong increase in private equity-funded ventures that have complex, but unaddressed unique human capital requirements,” said Scott Kingdom, President of Industrial Markets at Korn Ferry. “Our new specialty melds the firm’s strong credentials in private equity, real estate, infrastructure and construction, energy and logistics with our global talent capabilities, to create the first group of this type.”

For the new P3 sector, Korn Ferry will leverage its global teams, providing expertise in all relevant segments to ensure the best talent, perspectives and teams are identified across several industry groups. In addition, experts from the firm’s CEO and CFO practice areas will work closely with the P3 team. This deep base of experience also includes professionals who understand the different regulatory frameworks; project histories and pipelines; as well as the investor base and capital markets.
