Zambon partners with Futurestep to support global expansion plan

Milan, February 24th 2015 – Futurestep, a Korn Ferry (NYSE:KFY) company specialising in high-impact talent acquisition solutions has partnered with leading Italian pharmaceuticalcompany, Zambon to support its expansions plans, which includes the strategic development into new therapeutic areas.

With more than 2,600 employees across 21 operating subsidiaries, products commercialized in 73 countries, Zambon is an industrial international family company, with 109 years of experience in fine-chemical and pharmaceuticals industries. Turnover is 563 million Euro (2013), 78% of which is made abroad and the Group is carrying on a development plan consolidating the international growth strategy.

The relationship with Futurestep in Germany started in early 2014 when Futurestep was appointed to recruit for a number of management positions for the organisation’s German set-up, located in Berlin, and as a result of its success, Futurestep was selected to recruit a field force team of 24 sales representatives for Zambon’s Northern and Southern sales regions in Germany. The recruitment project began in July 2014 with the aim to be completed in under four months due to the commercial launch of Safinamide, a molecule for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. The Futurestep recruitment team was dedicated to sourcing, screening, interviewing and presenting external candidates whilst facilitating the online application process and the supply of relevant timely reporting. Thanks to a robust sourcing strategy, 30 assessment days were coordinated in eight locations, enabling the recruitment of 24 new hires within the timeframe allocated.

Giovanni Strapazzon, HR Director at Zambon commented: “By partnering with Futurestep we are able to continue to support our business strategy, bringing vital talent on board to bolster our workforce and strengthen the investment we are making in growing the company. Through best-in-class methodology and innovative multi-channel sourcing, we have already been able to source and onboard suitable candidates very quickly, regardless of this highly fragmented and competitive market.”

Melanie Eder, Project Manager at Futurestep added: “Our ability to deliver these projects successfully was facilitated by a strong partnership with Zambon, alongside great communication and constant knowledge-transfer. We pride ourselves on building long-term relationships with our clients and becoming a trusted partner to market leading companies such as Zambon. As such, we are delighted to be expanding our relationship with Zambon further, supporting its talent management strategy in other key operating markets.”
