Celia Jones is a Principal in our Professional Search Business. Based in Queensland, Celia will focus on developing our Professional Search presence across the Queensland Government and Not-for-Profit sectors.
Celia is a highly regarded search and talent advisory executive with more than 25 years of experience and for the past 13 years has been advising government stakeholders on critical leadership appointments, succession and workforce strategy.
Celia was most recently a Senior Client Partner with a boutique search firm where she has led retained executive search assignments across State Government, statutory authorities and the for-purpose sector. Prior to this, she spent seven years with the Local Government Association of Queensland and Peak Services, leading a statewide executive search and workforce advisory practice supporting Queensland’s 77 councils.
Celia began her career in healthcare as a nurse, working in intensive care units across both public and private hospitals while completing her studies. She later transitioned into media, working with ABC Radio and Universal Music, before moving into her corporate career
She holds a Bachelor of International Business and a Master of Journalism from Queensland University of Technology and has completed Registered Nursing qualifications at the Royal Brisbane Hospital. Celia recently completed a certificate course in Workforce Planning at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
Celia has worked in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne as well as London and Singapore.
