Grace Tan is a Managing Consultant within Korn Ferry’s Government, Education and Not-for-Profit, Professional Search practice, based in Melbourne. 

Having managed search processes across a range of mid, senior and executive level retained engagements, Grace has supported numerous organisations in acquiring the right talent for their business.

Her specialty is in gathering industry intelligence and studying the challenges involved around the formation of strong management teams to drive strategy, optimise performance and generate business returns. Success in her role is underpinned by her research expertise, continuous development of market knowledge, use of innovative tools and understanding her client’s goals.

A strong believer in integrity as fundamental, Grace builds relationships based on transparency, ethical behaviour and honest interactions. She is committed to exceeding client expectations and practices a culture of openness and collaboration as well as high performance. She is a strong advocate of diversity and inclusion, and is a supporter of the professional development of women in the STEM sectors.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Grace spent three years with a boutique executive search firm, specialising in the mining and natural resources sector.

Her early career features work in laboratory and academic research environments where she investigated and developed applications of physics in disciplines of science, engineering and modern technology. This platform has equipped her with the necessary skills required to challenge conventional thinking and promote innovative outcomes.

Grace holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) from Monash University. She is the author of a number of publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals on applied physics.

She is also a recipient of several academic scholarships and awards including the Monash Graduate Scholarship (fully funded graduate studies) and the Petronas Education Sponsorship Program (fully funded undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering).
