Senior Client Partner, CEO & Board Practice, EMEA

Joseph is a Senior Client Partner in the CED practice for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). His areas of focus include executive assessment, succession management and senior executive development. 

Dr Calleja assesses, coaches and develops CEO’s and senior executives across sectors and in global organisations. He is also a Programme Lead in Chief Executive® and Executive to Leader Institute® (CEI and ELI).

His experience in assessing senior executives across industries and functions enables him to understand their readiness for more complex roles and identify gaps in their leadership that warrant development.

He brings a strong focus on helping executives gain insight, clarity and achieve change. His coaching approach is underpinned by psychological and adult development principles and informed by his organisational experience and clinical/therapeutic work and training. 

His practice is marked by empathy, positivity, trust and a commitment to help executives challenge themselves and integrate learnings to elevate their enterprise leadership.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Joseph was a freelance trainer, designing and delivering competency-based interventions in public and private health organisations. Joseph worked as a senior psychologist in the NHS and managed his own private practice. Prior to this, Joseph was a senior associate at PwC, where he applied training solutions to help develop senior leaders.

Dr Calleja has regularly lectured, supervised and mentored clinical psychology doctorate students and sat on examination boards. Joseph is a Chartered Psychologist and holds a Doctorate in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Surrey.

He is also a qualified clinical supervisor. He completed his Hogan, KF4D, KFALP and viaEdge certifications.

Dr. Calleja earned a doctorate in counseling & psychotherapeutic psychology from the University of Surrey.

He is fluent in English and Maltese.
