Alexandra Goodfellow

Vice Chair, Australasia, Head of Board Advisory and CEO Practice

Alexandra Goodfellow is Vice Chair of Korn Ferry Australasia with 30 years’ experience in executive search and consulting. She is based in Korn Ferry’s Sydney office, where she heads up the Board Advisory and CEO practice for Australasia.  

Alexandra has lived and worked in Asia, Europe and Australia and executed key mandates in other major global regions.

Having commenced her career in financial public relations in London, Alexandra entered the financial executive search industry in 1986. In 1991, she established Fleming, Goodfellow & Stewart to provide executive search services for the Financial Services market in Australia. Subsequently, the firm extended its coverage to Asia Pacific.

In 1998, Fleming, Goodfellow & Stewart merged with a Hong Kong based firm and Alexandra relocated to Hong Kong as a principal and major shareholder of the firm, subsequently returning to work in London for a number of years.

Alexandra relocated back to Sydney in 2005 where she spent 11 years leading the Australasian Financial Services practice for a top tier global executive search firm. Her diverse in-country experience and knowledge of global financial markets is highly regarded and she assists financial services institutions on a broad range of assignments including; investment banking, retail/commercial banking, private equity firms, assisting private equity with their acquisitions by placing both the board directors and executive committee, global markets, asset management and property.

Alexandra engages Korn Ferry’s 3 lines of business; Executive Search, Advisory and Recruitment Process Outsourcing, to help clients reach their ultimate potential. This may involve organisational design, talent succession, development and sourcing, and how to reward, develop and motivate their workforce.

Alexandra is a Non-Executive Director of Sydney Swans (Chair of Sponsorship & Members Committee and a Member of the Audit & Risk Committee), a Non-Executive Director of MA Financial Group Limited (Chair of the Remuneration and Nomination Committee and was a member of the Audit & Risk Committee until 2024) and a former member of the Funding Committee for the Westmead Children’s Hospital Grace (previously Chair). She was a Founding Member of the Tiffany Red Cross Committee, and previously an Advisory Committee member for Women in Payments. She has completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors Course.

Alexandra is a member of Chief Executive Women and the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).
