Sean Garvey is a Sydney-based Senior Client Partner with more than 20 years of experience advising boards, chief executives, and senior technology leaders across Asia Pacific and globally. He specialises in appointing board, CEO, and P&L leadership of technology companies, as well as CIO and CTO leadership within enterprises navigating digital transformation and the emerging impact of AI.
Sean served for three years as Australia Chair of the Association of Executive Search & Leadership Consultants (AESC), the global professional body for executive search and leadership advisors. He is also a judge for the Australian Technologies Competition, Australia’s leading program for emerging technologies with the potential to scale globally.
His career spans leadership roles in both global and boutique search firms. For six years he led the Technology Practice of a major international search firm, advising multinational software vendors, telecommunications providers, and digital platforms on executive and board leadership. Prior to that, he spent a decade as Managing Director and Founder of a boutique search firm, which he grew and successfully sold to a leading human capital management company.
Born in Jamaica, raised in Pakistan, and educated in the United Kingdom, Sean has lived in Australia for more than 25 years. This international background enables him to connect with diverse leadership teams and advise clients navigating complex technology, organisational, and market challenges.
