David McGowan is a Managing Consultant in Korn Ferry's Manchester office, where he is a member of the firm’s Global Industrial Market within Professional Search.
David has 16 years of experience in technical recruitment, across IT and Industrial Technology. He has worked with clients globally to deliver high performing technical and sales teams and has delivered mid to C level assignments across Cloud, Software, Connectivity, Data Center and Industrial Technology markets as well as emerging technology such as GenAI.
He joins from a boutique executive search company where he was the senior consultant in all technical search and client development. In this role he delivered searches across EMEA, North and South America. He specialised in working with companies where IT and Operational Technology converge in what is often referred to as the Industry 4.0 market. Working with tech companies in industrial automation, hardware and software solutions, he found he had a passion and talent for identifying exceptional candidates, in this niche and emerging field. Clients have relied on him to advise and guide them in a market with high demands from a competitive resource pool.
David has a degree in English & Sociology from Liverpool University. He has also worked independently for several years earlier in his career. He has carried through the resilience and attention to detail required to work independently throughout his career.
