Martin Stemmler

Mr. Stemmler is leading a team professionals across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, who are working in the automotive sector with enormous experience and passion at identifying and recruiting the best suited people.

Prior to join Korn Ferry in 2008, he worked for another global search firm.

His main areas of expertise are chief executive officer’s, chief operation officer’s and chief technological officer’s searches but he has also undertaken sales, supply chain, financial executive and non-executive board members. He has successfully completed search assignments for small, medium and large suppliers, across family owned, private equity held and listed international OEMs.

He has the rare skillset of thirteen years of operational experience within the automotive industry, eight of which he acted in managing director positions at Tier 1 suppliers and more than 15 years in executive search.

Mr. Stemmler received his doctorate degree in physics and master's degree in business administration from the University of Goettingen, Germany. He did his postdoctoral at the University of California in Berkeley.

He is fluent in English.
