Kaare Sand

Kaare focuses exclusively on recruiting C-suite executives as well as working with boards on NED recruiting and other advisory services, such as board effectiveness evaluation and CEO & C-suite succession. Clients include both privately held, publicly listed and PE-backed businesses.

Kaare has spent more than two decades working as a leadership advisor. Prior to joining Korn Ferry, he spent more than a decade working with another global executive search firm, where he also led the firm's Industrial Practice in EMEA for several years.

For the first 10 years of his career, Kaare worked for the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group, including a six-year posting to China where he held various management positions.

Kaare is a graduate from the A.P. Moller-Maersk Shipping School. He has studied Mandarin at the Beijing Normal University and has an Executive MBA from SIMI, Copenhagen.

Additionally, Kaare has completed the International Director’s Program at INSEAD, where he is also a guest lecturer.

Kaare is fluent in Danish and English.
