Kjetil Bjørnson

Mr. Bjørnson brings a proven track record in assembling strong leadership teams, as an executive recruiter and as a senior leader in his own right; particularly in the energy, offshore, maritime and aerospace arenas.

For the last 30 years, he has lived and worked across multiple regions and locations, including Norway, the US, the UK and Germany. He has advised and assisted a number of major energy-related companies, with completing, expanding or integrating their senior management teams and building their global operations.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Bjørnson worked for five years as head of the Stavanger office of a global executive search firm, covering assignments across the Nordics and internationally. Previously, he was President of Archer’s North Sea Division, Senior Vice President Human Resources for Seadrill, Managing Director for CHC Helicopter Service Norway and spent 11 years in various leadership roles in Schlumberger.

A graduate in Nautical Engineering, from the Royal Norwegian Naval Academy, he has also served as an officer and commanding officer on Norwegian Submarines, before pursuing a successful business, management and consulting career.
