Carlos Basile

With more than three decades of experience in corporate finance, Carlos has built a career defined by the integration of financial management, governance and growth strategy across national and multinational organizations in a range of industries.

Before joining Korn Ferry in 2012, he served as Vice President of Finance at The Marketing Store World L.A. Consult Ltda.; Senior Finance Manager at Electronic Arts Ltda.; and Senior Consultant/Auditor at KPMG Peat Marwick. In these roles, he led financial restructuring, capital optimization, systems implementation and international expansion initiatives, with a strong focus on improving performance and creating sustainable value.

His key achievements include:

• Leading comprehensive corporate restructuring initiatives, resulting in increased profitability and business growth;
• Developing financial and operating models to support business expansion across Latin America;
• Implementing logistics and management processes that contributed to revenue growth of more than 60%;
• Reviewing the intercompany compensation model, generating a 33% reduction in royalties paid to the parent company;
• Building international experience across the United States, France, Spain, the United Kingdom and Argentina, presenting results and strategic recommendations to global executive boards.

Carlos holds a degree in Accounting from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie and an MBA in Finance from the University of São Paulo (USP). He brings extensive experience across controllership, treasury, tax, legal, information technology and human resources.
