North American Assessment & Succession Leader

Carolyn Vavrek has more than 25 years of diverse corporate and consulting experience in the field of leadership human capital and mergers & acquisitions.

Ms. Vavrek specializes in assessment for succession and development, accelerated leadership transitions, talent planning, board and top team effectiveness, organization design and change management.

Ms. Vavrek has managed all aspects of large-scale business and talent transformations with a particular focus on leadership, governance and people transition challenges.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Ms. Vavrek led the Americas Leadership Consulting Practice for Heidrick & Struggles where she advised CEOs, Senior Executives and Corporate Directors on leadership, governance and talent management issues.

Previously, Ms. Vavrek was a Partner at Deloitte Consulting, serving as the Human Capital West Coast M&A practice leader and HR Service Delivery leader. While at Deloitte,

Ms. Vavrek helped develop the firm's HR M&A methodology, adapting and creating progressive and pragmatic tools especially for rapid-growth organizations.

Ms. Vavrek also worked in industry at Goldman, Sachs & Co. and Ballard, Spahr, Andrews & Ingersol.

Ms. Vavrek holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from Penn State. She is certified in the suite of Korn Ferry Assessment Tools, Hogan Assessments, Saville Consulting WAVE Styles Assessment and holds a Coaching Certification from the International Coach Federation.
