Chris Wakeford

Senior Consultant, Advisory

Chris is a Senior Consultant in the Korn Ferry CEO & Board Practice team, based in the firm’s Singapore office.

Chris is passionate about connecting with individuals and unpicking what makes them tick as leaders, exploring their motivations and unique strengths which can be leveraged to accelerate performance in both individual leadership and collective team environments. Chris takes an open, honest and authentic approach to client work to build highly effective relationships with individuals looking to take their development to new heights of leadership.

Chris’ expertise comes from a background in elite performance in sport, having been an athlete and international coach in track and field. Experience in discovering and unlocking both physical and mental performance, especially in dynamic and pressurized environments, has proved invaluable in working in Leadership Assessment & Development and Top Team Effectiveness workshops. 

Recent work that Chris has been involved in at a senior executive level includes CEO Assessment and Succession Planning with GHX, Top Team Effectiveness with Temasek Portfolio Companies, Leadership Development with Global Teams of SCB and M&A Leadership Integration of Keppel O&M and Sembcorp Marine.

Possessing a range of experience facilitating workshops, Chris has lead Board of Governors Strategy sessions, Catalysts for Senior Management teams, Accelerators for first Line Managers and Building High Performing Teams sessions.

In addition, Chris is credentialed in several Korn Ferry assessment tools which he integrates within his individual leadership coaching sessions. Chris has facilitated recent Leadership & Coaching Enablement workshops for Skills Future SG, LAM Research, Symrise & Sony. 

Chris graduated from the University of Bath with a BSc in Sports Performance Coaching and further completed a postgraduate degree at the University of Wales, earning an MSc in Management.

Chris is also a certified and ICF accredited Executive Coach.
