Sector Leader, Transitioning Military

David M. Bakkeby leads the Korn Ferry Military Transition sector for North America.

Mr. Bakkeby has developed and led Military Talent Programs, Recruiting Process Outsourcing (RPO) Engagements and Managed Service Programs (MSP) across many industries with a primary emphasis on the industrial and technology sectors. Through these engagements he has supported client's talent needs ranging from early career to the executive level.

His salient expertise in helping companies build Military Talent Programs has led to the supported companies receiving national recognition by the White House's Joining Forces initiative. This model ensures companies have an effective Veteran hiring strategy that includes focused branding and marketing, robust sourcing and well-designed candidate onboarding and assimilation.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Mr. Bakkeby's corporate experience included extensive business development and enterprise program development at TargetCW, and Orion Talent.

Mr. Bakkeby started his career as a Marine Corps Supply Officer where he served with distinction at 1ST Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company (ANGLICO) and I Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF).

Mr. Bakkeby graduated from Oral Roberts University with a Bachelor's of Science in Accounting, and he holds an Masters in Science of Administration with a focus on Human Resources from Central Michigan University. He is actively involved in Military ministries and Military transition programs in the San Diego community.
