Funke is an Associate Client Partner in Korn Ferry’s diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) advisory practice, based in the firm’s London office.
She delivers DEI solutions to clients across the EMEA region, empowering clients on how best to integrate DEI into all aspects of their operations whilst unleashing the potential of inclusive leadership.
Her professional experience spans over 20 years with a first career as a corporate lawyer in the UK and subsequent careers in C-suite leadership roles within large, global pharmaceutical companies alongside providing DEI expertise. Her industry experience encompasses a wide range of sectors from biotech, pharmaceuticals, healthcare & life sciences, technology, not-for-profit and manufacturing to professional services, education, financial services, retail and media.
A law graduate of Newcastle University, Funke holds a range of postgraduate qualifications from INSEAD, Oxford University and Cambridge University amongst others.
She is a popular keynote speaker, podcast host and regular commentator on BBC TV and radio.
Her DEI expertise has been recognised through multiple awards and recognitions including honorary doctorates, an honorary professorship and recognition by the UK’s Prime Minister.
In 2017, she was awarded an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the Queen’s birthday honours list for services to diversity and young people.
She is a non-executive board director of a fully listed company within the premium beverages sector and a member of the Audit and Risk Committee.
She is also a member of the Law Society of England & Wales and speaks fluent Yoruba (a Nigerian language).
She is dual-qualified to practise law in both Nigeria and England & Wales.
