Joël leads Korn Ferry’s advisory work for the Montreal office, with a focus on Org Strategy and Leadership Development.
Joël is passionate about the human side of enterprise transformation, having architected and led more than a dozen over the past 10 years. Whatever the engagement, he endeavours to help leaders connect to the organization’s purpose and embody the company’s values and desired behaviours. He is a skilled and empathetic client counsellor, focused on delivering impact through behaviour and organizational change.
With more than a decade of experience supporting Industrial clients at McKinsey, Joël is well-positioned to advise C-suite leaders in this sector through change. In his most recent role as Vice President of Strategy and Energy Planning at Hydro-Quebec, he led several large-scale transformation programs to prepare the company for what’s next.
Trilingual in French, Spanish and English, Joël brings a rich international background to his work. Originally from Montreal, he has lived in Bogota, Colombia; Santiago, Chile; Calgary, Alberta and Princeton, New Jersey where he received his Ph.D. from the Woodrow Wilson School and was a Loran, Fulbright and Trudeau Scholar.
He is keen to not only have an impact locally in eastern Canada but to continue working across Canada, the United States and LATAM, where he has developed deep personal and business ties.
He hold a certification in Organizational Excellence from the Shingo Institute as well as a certification in Cultural Transformation from the Barret Values Center.
