Senior Client Partner, Human Resources Officers Practice

Liz Schaefer serves as a Senior Client Partner in Korn Ferry’s Human Resources Practice and has responsibility for the HR Center of Excellence for the firm’s Professional Search division.

As a leader in the HR practice, Liz covers a range of leadership roles within the HR function including Chief People/Human Resources Officer, Head of Talent Management, Head of Total Rewards, and other strategic senior HR leadership. Her work spans across industries with a focus in Financial Services, Industrial Manufacturing/Services and Healthcare.  Her clients range from multi-national publicly-traded organizations to PE and investor backed companies. 

Liz is passionate about her clients and partnering with her clients to fully understand the organization’s strategy to ensure the role is placed with the best fit for that strategy. She also advises businesses on leadership transitions and the importance of succession planning and building talent pipelines.

Liz brings nearly twenty years of search experience to her clients.  She started her search career with another executive search firm, supporting the Chief Human Resources Officer Practice. Prior to executive search, Liz worked in sales & marketing for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.

Liz received her B.A. from American University in Washington, D.C., where she was a member of the Division I Swim Team. A former NYC resident, Liz now resides in Jacksonville, FL and is wife to a Navy Petty Officer and mother to two daughters.
