Mark Urban, Ph.D.
Mr. Urban has over 25 years of experience in the design and implementation of talent management strategies and programs which enable leaders to meet the requirements of changing business strategies and environments.
Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Mr. Urban was the North America assessment solutions leader for Right Management, where he led the design and delivery of large-scale leadership assessment programs. His clients included a Fortune 50 global technology company and one of the U.S.'s largest power companies.
Mr. Urban has been a strategic business advisor to clients in the energy, manufacturing, technology, construction, pharmaceuticals, and insurance industries. In addition, he has worked with clients across a variety of business contexts, including strategy shifts, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, critical talent shortages, and accelerated growth.
Mr. Urban has helped clients with succession management, talent strategy formulation, leadership assessment, competency modeling, executive coaching, leadership development, and shaping organizational culture and employee engagement. Earlier in his career, he was the performance management director at CNA Financial, one of the U.S.'s largest commercial insurers.
Mr. Urban received his doctorate and masters degree in industrial/organizational psychology from The Ohio State University, and a bachelors degree in psychology from Western Illinois University. He is active in the Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology as a national conference submission reviewer and conference presenter.
Mr. Urban is verbally fluent in Polish.
