Michel Buffet is a Senior Client Partner at Korn Ferry in the Board & CEO Services practice. He advises and coaches C-suite leaders on developing enterprise leaders and high-performing executive teams and leads the firm’s Top Team Performance solution. He brings a strong research-practitioner mindset into his work, grounded in evidence-based approaches to drive measurable value-creation and growth.
His work focuses on helping organizations strengthen their enterprise leadership pipeline, accelerate readiness for mission-critical roles, and align leadership capability with business strategy. With more than 25 years of experience, Michel advises leaders at global organizations across sectors including Life Sciences, Healthcare, Industrial Goods, and Luxury Retail. Prior to Korn Ferry, Michel held senior roles in several advisory services firms. He began his career as an Officer Psychologist in the French Navy.
He chairs the HR & Mobility Committee of the French-American Chamber of Commerce in New York and previously served as President of the Metropolitan New York Association of Applied Psychology. He is a keynote speaker on leadership and executive teams and author of The Five Disciplines of Inclusive Teams (Berrett-Koehler).
Michel holds a PhD in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University and a DESS in Clinical Psychology from the University of Paris. A dual U.S. and French citizen, he is bilingual in English and French and fluent in Spanish.
