President, North American Professional Search, Managing Partner, Boston

Ned Philie serves as the President of North America Professional Search. In this role, Ned oversees both the North American Industry Markets and functional Center of Expertise (COE) practices. He is responsible for driving growth, team engagement and client satisfaction within the Professional Search business, as well as facilitating collaborative relationships with the firm’s other service lines. 

Ned also serves as the Office Managing Partner for Korn Ferry’s Boston office.

Ned brings more than 25 years of enterprise leadership experience to his role within the firm.  Prior to Korn Ferry, he served as the Senior Managing Director for a publicly-traded global executive search firm focused on Finance & Accounting. Ned’s executive search career includes numerous assignments with publicly-traded, private equity-backed and family-owned business clients. His search experience also includes work with 501c3 non-profits and government-sponsored enterprises.

Before entering into the executive search industry, Ned held senior officer roles in the Financial Services industry in Sales & National Accounts Management and Corporate Development for Sallie Mae/Academic Management Services, a national education lending institution. Prior to that, he worked in privately-backed entrepreneurial environments with roles that included CEO, CFO and COO.

Ned is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He has served on the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement in New England, and is a regional representative for Deerfield Academy and the Cardigan Mountain School. Ned is a long-time participant and fundraiser in the Pan-Mass challenge, an annual 2-day cycling event that raises funds for the Dana Farber Cancer institute in Boston, MA.
