



Steven Xiao is a Senior Client Partner and Practice Leader for Korn Ferry’s Great China Reward Practice.
Mr. Xiao has worked with clients in China, HK and Asia Pacific designing compensation systems linked to initiatives for improving performance, retaining key executives and enhancing shareholder value creation.
He is skilled in helping senior management and boards of directors resolve conflicts and achieve consensus on difficult, and sometimes divisive, compensation and performance issues. He has also helped many organizations manage compensation issues resulting from mergers, acquisitions and other restructuring efforts.

Mr. Xiao has over 20 years of experience consulting with companies across a range of industries in the areas of executive compensation, total reward strategy, performance management and leadership.
Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Mr. Xiao worked at Willis Towers Watson, consulting exclusively with world class multinationals on global rewards. While at Willis Towers Watson, he led consulting teams for multi-country assignments for clients in the areas of staffing, compensation benchmarking, and incentive plan design while addressing strategy, stages of business development, ownership structure, and competitive market practices.
Mr. Xiao received an I.M.B.A. from the Tsinghua Economic and Management School and MIT Sloan Business School, and a B.A from Wuhan University of Technology.
