With more than 15 years of experience globally in the oil and gas and mining industries, Mr. Van Schalkwyk successfully combines his industry experience with consulting solutions to create value for his clients.

Mr. Van Schalkwyk partners with his clients to understand their specific business context and helps them develop and implement organizational solutions to deliver on their business strategy. Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Mr. Van Schalkwyk worked in leadership roles at Schlumberger and consulting firms such as McKinsey and Deloitte, leading transformations across the oil and gas and mining industries.

Mr. Van Schalkwyk has deep global experience in the Industrial Sector, including oil and gas and mining industries. His clients have ranged from the largest oil and gas producers and service companies globally to major oil sands producers in the Canadian oil sands as well as innovation and collaboration alliances.

Areas of expertise include strategy development and execution, digital transformation, and operating model design and implementation.

Mr. Van Schalkwyk has a degree in electric and electronic engineering from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa and an MBA with specialization in finance from the University of Calgary's Haskayne School of Business. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers in Alberta (APEGA). He is fluent in English and Afrikaans.
