With over twenty years of consulting experience, her focus is on helping both Japanese and multinational companies globalize their business through identification and development of key global talents. She has worked with organizations globally especially in the consumer and pharmaceutical sectors and has significant experience in the Asia Pacific Region.
Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Ms. Kawashima worked for a global leadership consulting firm, where she was a consultant specializing in assessment, feedback, coaching, and training. She also designed and consulted on talent management programs for both foreign and Japanese companies.
Before embarking on her career in leadership and talent consulting, she worked for Mercer and KPMG, both in Japan and in the United States, as HR consultant. She conducted organization analyses, planned and facilitated mergers and acquisition, designed HR strategies, as well as developed and implemented a wide range of HR programs.
Ms. Kawashima earned a masters' degree in organizational psychology from Columbia University and a bachelor's degree in international relations from Tsuda College.
