Avdesh Mittal is the Managing Director for Korn Ferry's Digital Practice across Asia Pacific and Senior Client Partner within the firm's Global Consumer Markets, based in the Mumbai office.​

Bringing over a decade's experience in executive search, he has been instrumental in hiring leadership teams for most consumer facing businesses over the years - FMCG, Retail, Telecom, E-commerce, Social Media, and Media & Entertainment. He takes pride in being able to effectively straddle the cusp between new-age technology oriented businesses as well as the traditional brick-and-mortar based businesses.​

Avdesh has over 30 years of work experience across industry sectors - the traditional manufacturing sector as well as the more contemporary consumer and technology sectors - he is now a specialist for all consumer facing businesses. ​

His career across 3 decades has been varied and diverse - the traditional petrochemical / pharmaceutical sector in the first decade, an entrepreneur / CEO of a US based start-up in India during the dot com boom-and-bust period during the second decade of his career and Executive Search in the last decade.​

During his entrepreneurial stint, he established a software product (online advertising) company, which he funded through private equity investment from a Mumbai based industrial house. During this period, Mr. Mittal pioneered the development and deployment of the only brand building tool on the Internet and built strategic alliances with the country's leading players in the space.​

Mr. Mittal earned a master's degree in management from the London Business School, where he is a Sloan fellow. He graduated at the top of his class with a chemical engineering degree from Panjab University, where he was awarded and recognized for securing the highest grades across multiple states in the graduating class of engineering.
