Caroline Thompson

Ms. Thompson brings more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience partnering with executive leadership teams, governing boards, and physician leaders across academic and community health systems during periods of strategic growth and organizational transformation. Leveraging this experience, she leads executive search engagements for schools of medicine, academic medical centers, health systems, and research institutes, recruiting C-Suite executives, Vice Presidents, Deans, Department Chairs, Chiefs, and other physician and scientific leaders. Known for her consultative and collaborative approach, she combines strategic talent acquisition, leadership advisory, and market intelligence to help clients recruit transformational leaders aligned with their mission, culture, and long-term strategic priorities.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Ms. Thompson partnered with the senior leadership of a prominent New York City academic medical school and health system, contributing to the development and implementation of several strategic system-wide initiatives.

Previously, she served as Assistant to the President, and Assistant Board Secretary of St. Luke’s Cornwall Health System, working closely with executive leadership on strategic initiatives. There, she was instrumental in forming Hudson Health Partners, LLC, a controlled joint venture that linked four Hudson Valley health systems, consisting of nine hospitals with a combined revenue of $1 Billion, into a single, non-asset merged corporation focused on physician-centric care management improvements and continuum of care coordination pre- and post-hospital. As an officer and corporate agent, she served on the Operating Committee and Governing Board, partnering with executive leadership on health system governance, organizational strategy, and multi-system collaboration.

Ms. Thompson earned her Master of Business Administration, with a specialization in Leadership, from the University of South Florida. She holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in Business Management and Administration from Mount St. Mary College and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
