David Hui

Senior Client Partner, CEO & Board Practice and Family Business, Greater China

David has over 25 years of experience in executive search and consulting globally and across the Asia Pacific region. Prior to rejoining Korn/Ferry he was the Partner in charge of the Hong Kong office of Heidrick & Struggles and the Regional Managing Partner of the Industrial Practice for Asia Pacific and the Middle East. He also led the Chief Executive Officer and Board Practice in Hong Kong. Previously in his earlier career at Korn/Ferry he was the Regional Head of Financial Services for APAC.

David has extensive experience working in the Board and C-suite, including placing Board Members and senior executives as well as running Evaluation, Assessment and Succession Projects for listed companies, private companies and family enterprises. He sits on the Board of HK listed Kerry Properties, where he is the Chair of the Remuneration Committee and a member of the Audit Committee.

Earlier in his career before Executive Search & Consulting, David was a banking and finance lawyer at Allen & Overy and Baker McKenzie. He is qualified to practise as a solicitor in England, Wales and Hong Kong. 

David holds a Bachelor of Law with joint honours in Law and Chinese Studies from the University of Leeds, a Master of Law from the University of London and an Executive Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg-HKUST Executive MBA program.
