Over the past 25+ years, he has completed more than 500 searches for a variety of healthcare clients, including: integrated health systems, hospitals, academic medical centers, physician groups, professional associations, healthcare consulting firms, and various other services organizations.
Working closely with Boards, Search Committees, CEOs and other senior executives, these searches include recruiting for such key leadership positions as: CEO, COO, CFO, CHRO, Chief Medical Officer and other Physician Executive roles, Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Marketing Officer and more.
Prior to Korn Ferry, Mr. Basara worked as a Recruiter and Human Resources Professional for Ernst & Young's National Healthcare Consulting Practice, where he was responsible for the recruitment of healthcare consultants with expertise in areas such as strategy, process/operations improvement, finance, marketing, business development, physician/clinical services, information technology, revenue cycle, and change management.
Prior to his corporate experiences, Mr. Basara spent over six years serving as a United States Naval Officer. He held numerous leadership and management positions while assigned to the ship, USS JOHN YOUNG, and his final position with the Navy was as an Assistant Professor and Director of Recruiting Operations for The George Washington University Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) Program.
Mr. Basara holds a Master of Human Resources Management degree from The George Washington University, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree from Villanova University.
