Fran Helms is a Senior Client Partner and co-leader of the Media and Entertainment sector at Korn Ferry, also serving clientele across Technology and Private Equity. 

Fran’s most recent experience, prior to joining the Firm, was leading the North America Media and Entertainment practice for another of the world's top five executive search consultancies.

Fran’s executive search and leadership advisory work focuses on addressing top talent needs at the crossroads of technology and entertainment with an emphasis on consumer-oriented products and content-driven services – including new digital media platforms as well as traditional entertainment.

She has placed over 100 executives into roles spanning Board Directors, CEOs, Chief Content Officers, Chief Marketing Officers, Chief Product Officers, Chief Revenue Officers, business development and other functional leaders across the interconnected sectors of Media, Entertainment, Technology and Consumer.

Fran’s search and leadership advisory experience includes work with OTT digital video platforms, consumer Internet businesses, major and independent film and TV studios, broadcast and cable TV networks, music, publishing and other content and information led companies, as well as suppliers of technology infrastructure to the industry. With an appreciation for the impacts of digital transformation across a range of industry sectors, she also actively supports private equity firms with broad ranging portfolios.

Fran brings more than a decade of direct work experience at the media and technology crossroads prior to serving as an executive recruiter and leadership advisor. Following her early career in product management for Apple Computer, she played a key role is growing two leading edge interactive television infrastructure and content businesses during a significant growth period for this emerging market segment.

Fran holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Rutgers University and a Masters of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School.
