Gene Swift

Having himself spent nearly two decades building and leading teams in financial services, Mr. Swift brings a manager’s perspective to his work in search, focusing on the cultural fit, complementary strengths, and long-term development potential for a placement on a client’s team – not just a solution to an immediate need.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Mr. Swift was part of the global banking and markets practice at a leading boutique executive search firm, completing engagements across corporate, commercial, and investment banking, as well as various debt finance product areas. He came to the world of search after 17 years at Wells Fargo, where he built and led the Marketing & Communications functions at Wells Fargo Capital Finance and served on its executive management committee. He also held line and staff roles in Corporate Finance at FINOVA Capital Corporation. Mr. Swift began his professional career in the film and television industry and has also worked as an independent consultant in marketing, communications, and political advertising.

Mr. Swift graduated from Middlebury College with a bachelor’s degree in Theatre and English and holds a Master of Fine Arts from The American Film Institute. He is a member of the Turnaround Management Association.
